Job Summary:
The Project Lead- Structured Cabling will act as the on-site coordinator and supervisor of several Crew Leads
- Structured Cabling for voice and data installation projects. The Project Lead
- Structured Cabling's task will be to the ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project.
General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Lead Structured Cabling will consistently run major project crews, assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training, assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety, quality guidelines, and hold weekly safety meetings, initiate performance-related communications, and escalate to Project Manager if necessary. The Project Lead Structured Cabling coordinates with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and compliance with the project budget. The Project Lead Structured Cabling fully completes all IES COMMERCIAL and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and others as required). The Project Lead Structured Cabling will perform quality checks, coordinate moves, and cut sheets for voice and data cross-connects, prepare red-lined as-built drawings. The Project Lead Structured Cabling serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns, attend facility and construction meetings when required. The Project Lead Structured Cabling performs work consistently, demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as they arise. The Project Lead Structured Cabling will complete other responsibilities as assigned.Physical and Mental Requirements:
The Project Lead Structured Cabling must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional, and help create, develop, and implement project process improvement(s). The Project Lead Structured Cabling must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners. The Project Lead Structured Cabling must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s). The Project Lead Structured Cabling must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s). Must be able to stand and walk very large job sites regularly. The Project Lead Structured Cabling must be able to work at various heights on a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. The Project Lead Structured Cabling must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read the small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones. The Project Lead Structured Cabling must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Regular attendance is mandatory Job Summary:
The Technician II- 2 year experience Outside Plant (OSP)must possess the ability to perform the technical responsibilities of an Technician II
- Outside Plant and function as a lead member of an OSP team. The Technician II
- OSP will coordinate small groups of technicians in the performance of daily workload including adherence to Company safety and quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technician II- OSP will pull cables of various sizes through underground duct bank systems. The Technician II
- OSP will assist crew members in placing underground pipes, manual labor and shovel work. The Technician II
- OSP will assist in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Lead, or Supervisor. The Technician II
- OSP will guide daily inspections and all confined space equipment. The Technician II
- OSP will oversee all radios and air monitors for projects. The Technician II
- OSP will assist the OSP Lead Technician with training of new employees. The Technician II
- OSP will Keep the worksite clean and organized free from unnecessary hazards. The Technician II
- OSP will fully complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required). The Technician II
- OSP adheres to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations. The Technician II
- OSP will complete other responsibilities as assigned.

- Adhere to and participate in all company quality, safety standards, and regulations.
- Manage time effectively in scheduling and performing service calls.
- Present a positive demeanor to the customer and company employees.
- Troubleshooting and repair/replacement of system wiring, field devices, and head-end components.
- Use as necessary and with precision, such tools as red-lined drawings, manufacturer system schematics/manuals, digital, or analog multimeter, toner/wand, system computers, and/or company provided notebook computer.
- Provide exceptional workmanship at levels (organization, detail, neatness, and quality).
- Process all paperwork in a timely manner
- Provide legendary customer support and training.
- Maintain a neat and clean service vehicle and up to date vehicle trip logs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and present a professional image.
- Must possess critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s).
- Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
- Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other service documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Must be able to work at various heights using a ladder and in confined spaces, must be able to lift 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds
- Regular attendance is mandatory
