The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling, access control, surveillance systems, networking hardware, and related technologies. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and fiber optic cabling Install and support surveillance camera systems, access control systems, intercoms, and related low voltage equipment Mount and install network racks, patch panels, switches, wireless access points, and related hardware Perform cable routing through ceilings, walls, conduits, and other pathways while maintaining clean and professional installations Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues involving network and low voltage systems Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans Assist with network equipment deployments and basic network troubleshooting Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service work, and inventory Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures Travel to dealership locations throughout Arkansas as needed Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of low voltage installation or field technician experience required Experience with structured cabling, CCTV systems, access control, and network hardware Familiarity with Ubiquiti, Cisco, Verkada, Avigilon, or similar systems is a plus Basic understanding of networking concepts including switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and wireless systems preferred Ability to use cable testers, toner tools, punch-down tools, and other installation equipment Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and power tools Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Must be self-motivated and able to work independently Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
