Duties Install telecommunications network cables, including fiber optic lines, following industry standards and safety protocols Perform fiber splicing using specialized tools to connect fiber strands accurately and efficiently Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, cable cutters, and power tools to prepare and secure cabling systems Test equipment and network connections with voltmeters, equipment testers, and other diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance Operate ladders, lifts, and other equipment safely while working outdoors on various structures or poles Conduct satellite dish installation and troubleshoot telecommunication systems for residential or commercial clients Document all installation activities, perform quality checks, and report issues promptly to supervisors Experience Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or in related field service roles Hands-on experience with network installation, including Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and electrical work Skilled in fiber splicing techniques with knowledge of telecommunications network cable installation standards Familiarity with Cisco routers or similar networking equipment is a plus Demonstrated ability to operate company vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Embark on a career that connects communities through cutting-edge technology!
