Job Description

Overview This is a temporary position to install conduit and pull cable in new construction site. Applicant must be certified and experienced in the SAFE operation of a scissor lift. installing low-voltage cabling systems using specialized equipment like scissor lifts. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse telecommunications and networking projects, ensuring efficient and safe installation of communication infrastructure. Your expertise will help connect people and systems seamlessly, contributing to cutting-edge communication solutions across various environments. Duties Install conduit and low-voltage cables, including fiber optic, Ethernet, Cat5, Cat6, and structured cabling systems, ensuring compliance with schematics and technical specifications Operate scissor lifts and other aerial work platforms safely to access elevated work areas for cable routing and conduit installation Terminate cables with precision, including cable termination for fiber optic and copper wiring, ensuring high-quality connections for voice, data, and video systems Assist with the installation of telecommunication equipment like Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, VoIP hardware, and network wiring components Conduct fiber splicing and testing to ensure optimal performance of fiber optic systems Follow detailed schematics and technical drawings to accurately install communication infrastructure while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Proven experience in field service installation of telecommunications or networking systems with a focus on low-voltage electrical wiring Must have own tools including 1/2-1" benders, power tools, hand tools. Familiarity with network installation including LAN (Local Area Network), testing, network cabling (Cat6 Cat6a), and structured cabling installation practices Knowledge of telecommunication systems such as VoIP, telephony hardware, equipment troubleshooting, and network wiring standards Comfortable working at heights using scissor lifts or similar aerial platforms while maintaining strict safety standards Strong understanding of schematics, technical diagrams, and computer hardware troubleshooting methods Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members about project progress or technical issues This role is perfect for motivated technicians eager to expand their skills in telecommunications installation while working in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
