Field Technician

Field Technician Job Description The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage carbonation systems at customer locations. This role ensures the safe, reliable delivery of bulk CO₂ and related equipment while providing outstanding customer service. You will be servicing customers using your personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided. Responsibilities Install CO₂ gas detection systems and associated cabling. Test and troubleshoot network communication issues. Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure system functionality. Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cables, including using a ladder when necessary. Communicate effectively with the field service team to resolve complex issues. Provide high-quality service to all customers. Verify current inventory levels against the install schedule and communicate any deficiencies to the supervisor. Maintain proper operation of all equipment, tools, and ladders. Ensure sufficient inventory levels of all parts. Maintain telephone communication with the supervisor and/or dispatch to provide timely ETAs and completion of work. Document work using a smartphone for GPS, taking pictures, and logging mileage for reimbursement. Essential Skills 2 years of experience in light construction, mechanical, or electrical fields. Ability to install and troubleshoot CO₂ gas detection systems. Proficiency in using power and hand tools. Experience in using a smartphone for work-related tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Honesty and independence. Effective communication skills with customers. Low voltage or light electrical experience is a plus. Experience driving for work and reliable transportation capable of covering 400 miles a week. Possession of necessary tools and ladders for work. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work independently, servicing various customer sites with minimal supervision. The role requires you to meet at the shop before heading out to the field. Work shifts are typically from 7 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of starting as early as 6:30 am. The position involves documenting daily activities accurately and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of La Puente, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
