We partner with some of the country's largest retailers and commercial organizations to deliver high-quality installations, service, and project execution across multiple states. We are seeking experienced and motivated Low Voltage Project Technicians to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting low-voltage systems in retail and commercial environments throughout the United States. The ideal candidate is dependable, technically skilled, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently while traveling extensively. Travel is required and may include overnight stays and multi-week deployments. Technicians should expect overtime, weekend work, holiday work, and schedule adjustments as project and customer needs require. Work schedules may vary based on customer requirements, project deadlines, and emergency service needs. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules are essential for success in this role. Requirements Minimum two (2) years of experience as a low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, or network infrastructure technician. Experience installing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems in retail or commercial environments. Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States. Ability to work a schedule that is primarily overnight. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as business needs require. Experience reading blueprints, floor plans, site maps, and installation drawings. Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling systems. Experience with CCTV, paging systems, access control, network infrastructure, and wireless technologies preferred. Ability to identify cable color codes and maintain cable management standards. Experience operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, and working safely at heights. Possess basic telecommunications tools and hand tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to utilize email, mobile applications, work order systems, and project documentation platforms. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass customer-required background screenings and drug testing where applicable. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low-voltage systems and infrastructure. Perform structured cabling installations including CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, coaxial, and specialty cabling systems. Install and support network equipment, wireless access points, paging systems, CCTV cameras, access control devices, and related technologies. Route, terminate, label, and test cabling according to industry standards and customer specifications. Install cable support systems including J-hooks, cable tray, ladder rack, innerduct, and conduit. Troubleshoot service issues and perform repairs in a timely and professional manner. Perform installation, maintenance, and service work during overnight hours to minimize disruption to customer operations. Work overtime and weekend schedules as needed to meet project deadlines, customer requirements, and emergency service requests. Travel to customer locations nationwide to support installation and service projects. Maintain accurate records including work orders, project updates, photographs, and customer documentation. Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, customer requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and fellow technicians. Represent Power-Comm Technologies professionally while on customer sites. Follow all company safety policies, customer site requirements, and OSHA regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and operational needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in large retail environments, including Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, or similar national retail accounts. Experience with network infrastructure, wireless deployments, CCTV, access control, and paging systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Lift certifications. Fire alarm, security, or low-voltage licensing where applicable. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods. Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
