We install and service alarms, cameras, access control, networking, and home automation for high-end homes, estates, and commercial campuses. No brand quota. We pick what fits the property. Most days are on site, from a basic alarm to a new build with alarm, access, cameras, AV, and lighting on one system. Service area is Laguna Beach to the south and Santa Barbara to the north, based out of Thousand Oaks. What you will do Pull and terminate low-voltage wire (Category cable, fiber, 22-2, 22-4, and other LV cable) Install conduit, boxes, and wire. Terminate, label, and dress wiring at the rack and at the device Install, aim, and commission IP cameras Install alarm systems, auxiliary power supplies, and devices Install access control (readers, locks, door hardware) when the job calls for it Install AV (TVs, amps, speakers, mounts) and automation (touchscreens, sensors, smart switches, relay modules) Diagnose wiring, power, and basic equipment problems Read plans, follow the layout, and flag it when something on the drawing will not work in the field Take photos, notes, and a clean closeout the same day Talk to the client, the GC, and the office without overselling What you need 3 years of low-voltage install (alarms, cameras, access, or AV) Valid California driver's license and a driving record we can insure Able to pass a background check Able to lift 50 pounds, carry and climb ladders, and work in attics and on active jobsites Your own basic hand tools Able to work independently and still take direction Professional appearance and attitude on estate and commercial jobs Nice to have Avigilon, Bosch, Crestron, Control4, Savant, Atlona, Ubiquiti, Binary, Inovonics, Sony, Life Safety Power, Belden, RTI Basic network setup (IP addresses, PoE, Wi-Fi) Construction or GC jobsite experience Bilingual English/Spanish Schedule and pay Monday to Friday, day shift, 8-hour days.
