Job Summary ZAM Communications is seeking a motivated Cable Technician to join our small but dynamic team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining low-voltage structured cabling systems across commercial, industrial, and government sites. Duties Install and troubleshoot data cables (e.g., Cat6, coax), video/audio wires, fiber optics, and security systems (cameras). Maintain low-voltage cabling infrastructure for various commercial, industrial, and government clients. Ensure all installations comply with client specifications and industry standards. Use handheld tools such as drills, testers, and other basic equipment for installations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Drive to and from project sites as needed. Experience Strong work ethic and willingness to learn; prior experience is a plus but not required. Ability to handle handheld tools (e.g., drills, cable testers). Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work 2-3 days per week initially, with potential for more hours as projects expand. Experience with low-voltage installations, fiber optics, or security systems is a plus. Experience with fiber optics, fire alarm systems, and access control systems. Preferred experience with nurse call system wiring.
