Fiber Optic Cabling Technician

A to B Communications is seeking a motivated individual to join our fiber team. This is an entry-level, full-time position with paid on-the-job training , focused on fiber installation and splicing within apartment complexes, condominiums, and mixed-use buildings.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting lead Splicers with fiber termination and fusion splicing Installing fiber in building risers, telecom rooms, hallways, and IDFs Constructing and dressing splice cases and fiber enclosures Grounding, bonding, slack storage, labeling, and sealing Performing verification testing and documenting work Maintaining clean, professional work areas in occupied buildings Maintaining work vehicle, tools, and materials Following safety procedures and industry standards

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) 2+ years cabling experience (required) Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and manual dexterity Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces and on ladders Reliable transportation and ability to commute to
