Reporting our Area Operations Manager, they are responsible for following the instructions based on Site Specific Requirements but all OSHA and Company Safety Regulations.

Primary Role:
Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and vendor specifications for fiber optic and electronic equipment Updating engineering documents and uploading test data into database Pulling, Testing and Termination of cables including fiber, coax, CAT 3, CAT5 and CAT6 cable Build closets, mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required Troubleshoot opens, crosses, shorts and transpose pairs on cable Splicing and terminating fiber optic cables using single and mass fusion splicing equipment, category 5e copper cables and coaxial cables Using power meters and exfo test meters for fiber optic acceptance testing Using OTDR for fault location, maintenance, and repair in fiber optic network Installing various electrical components based on job specifications Responsible to coordinate with other trades for project accomplishment Responsible for implementing OSHA safety standards Physical Requirements This role requires physical dexterity for working in various environments including construction sites. Individual must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time of 4-8 hours. Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, as needed. Individual may be required to climb multiple flight of stairs.
  • Climb and work from a ladder up to 12 feet high and occasionally scaffolding as necessary
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have finger, wrist, and arm dexterity.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding assigned project documentation, and determine if additional information is required
Travel:
Some travel to different job locations will be required.

  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations
