Sep 3, 2026 Rauland Florida is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual (AV) Technician to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment for K-12 Gym, Café, Football and Theatrical system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with sound systems, video conferencing tools, projectors, and other multimedia technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, test, and operate AV equipment including microphones, speakers, large format displays, projectors, networked amplifiers and DSP's. Responsible for working safely with hand tools, ladders (pulling/terminating cables and installing devices/testing/troubleshooting). Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT6, speaker wire, etc.) according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Responsible to report to the assigned project location on time, with the proper tools and understanding of the work to be performed each day. It is the responsibility of all employees to help assure a quality completion, including testing as a system, labeling and correction of all deficiencies.



Configure and test AV systems to ensure proper functionality and performance. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure installations meet expectations. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment. Document installation progress and complete service reports. Install and configure AV systems in all related spaces within the K-12 market. Maintain inventory of AV equipment and ensure all gear is in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV hardware. Train staff and end-users on proper use of AV systems. Stay current with emerging AV technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements. Must be on time at job site, focused and accountable. Must be able to follow instructions and work with a team to solve problems. Required to document work, attend safety meetings/training and education.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in AV technology or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in AV support or a similar technical role. Proficiency with AV software and hardware (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Skills:
OSHA 10/30

certification. Post-secondary school training is preferred. Prior Low voltage cable installation experience is a plus. Post-secondary electronics/computer systems experience is a plus Ability to read blueprints would be a plus. Basic programming skills would be a plus. Experience with rack building and system commissioning. Knowledge of networking basics and IP-based AV systems.

Working Conditions:

Field-based work at client sites, including schools, offices, and public buildings. May involve travel, overtime, and occasional weekend work. Physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
