$30-$45/hour (Based on Experience) About CTS Audio Video Technology CTS Audio Video Technology is one of South Florida's leading commercial technology integration companies specializing in: Verkada Access Control Security Camera Systems Audio/Video Integration Structured Cabling Network Infrastructure Smart Building Technologies We are expanding our access control division and are looking for experienced Verkada technicians who can hit the ground running on commercial installations throughout South Florida. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Low Voltage / Access Control Technician with hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting Verkada Access Control systems. The ideal candidate has experience working in commercial environments including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail locations, and industrial buildings. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest installation standards. Primary Responsibilities Install Verkada four-door and eight-door controllers Install and terminate CAT6 cabling Install and wire: Card Readers Electric Strikes Magnetic Locks Door Contacts Request-to-Exit Motion Sensors Push-to-Exit Buttons Power Supplies Battery Backup Systems Install controller enclosures and power supplies Route and support low-voltage cabling according to code Read blueprints and door schedules Troubleshoot wiring and hardware issues Test every door before completion Label all field wiring Take installation photos and complete project documentation Coordinate with project managers and customers Maintain clean and organized job sites Follow all OSHA safety practices Required Experience Minimum 3 years of Low Voltage installation experience Minimum 2 years installing commercial access control systems Previous experience installing Verkada Access Control systems Experience pulling and terminating CAT6 cable Experience installing door hardware Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, PoE) Experience using cable certification testers Ability to read construction drawings Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a major plus: Verkada Command Platform Verkada Cameras Cisco Networking Ubiquiti Networks Mercury Controllers HID Card Readers Assa Abloy Hardware HES Electric Strikes Schlage Locks Von Duprin Exit Devices LifeSafety Power Supplies Altronix Power Supplies Required Skills Clean cable management Professional troubleshooting Strong communication skills Excellent customer service Attention to detail Ability to work independently Reliable and dependable Strong problem-solving abilities Physical Requirements Lift up to 75 lbs.
