Low Voltage Structured Cable Technician

Job Overview Econsys Technologies Corp is seeking skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technicians to support a new structured cabling project in Miami . This role is ideal for technicians with hands-on experience in commercial environments who take pride in delivering clean, professional installations that meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities Install, route, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, coaxial). Perform structured cabling installations following TIA/EIA standards. Install and support systems such as: CCTV (security cameras) Access control (card readers, door contacts, strikes) Intrusion/burglar alarms Intercom and AV systems Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and schematics. Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and system issues. Maintain proper labeling, documentation, and testing reports. Ensure all work is performed safely and meets project specifications. Keep work areas clean and organized. Communicate effectively with project managers and team members. Requirements Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician (structured cabling experience required). Strong knowledge of cabling standards and installation best practices. Experience with fiber (termination, cleaning, testing) is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation. OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
