Installs, terminates and test Telecommunication Cable Systems General Accountabilities Works under direction of senior technicians, may work independently. Able to interpret construction drawings/documents. Knowledge of cable testing equipment for category, coax and fiber optic cabling. Travels to customers' premises to install, maintain or repair equipment. Inspects or tests cables to locate any faults or malfunctions. Splices cables, using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment. Places insulation over conductors or seals splices with moisture-proof covering. Familiar with using various hand tools. Drives crew trucks to and from work areas. Installs equipment to maintain the strength of communications transmissions. Job Qualifications Education/ Experience:
