Responsibilities:
Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) in data center environments Work with both LC and MPO fiber connectors for high-performance connectivity Dress and organize cables using proper wire management techniques, including cable trays and ladder racks Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other data center hardware Accurately label all cables and components to maintain meticulous documentation and organization Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical blueprints Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety
Requirements:
Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience working in data centers Proven experience with Cat6 and fiber optic cabling installation (pre-terminated preferred) Familiarity with LC and MPO connectors Working knowledge of telecom and data network infrastructure BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Willingness to travel to job sites within Georgia as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in Douglasville, GA?
