Job Description

PROJECTS WILL BE OUT OF STATE

BE WILLING TO TRAVEL
)) Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain fiber blowing/jetting machines and air compressors Prep and test duct/microduct runs (mandrel testing, air pressure checks) prior to cable installation Install fiber optic cable at proper speed and pressure per manufacturer and job specifications Monitor cable feed for kinks, tension issues, or damage during installation Coil, label, and secure cable at vaults, handholes, and pedestals Perform basic testing (e.g., OTDR) to confirm signal integrity after installation Troubleshoot duct blockages or equipment issues in the field Follow all safety protocols, including confined space entry, traffic control, and utility locate procedures Complete accurate job documentation and as-built reports Work in a variety of environments: underground, aerial, and manhole/vault access
Qualifications Entry-Level Candidates:
No prior fiber experience required — we provide training Willingness to learn specialized equipment and work outdoors in varying conditions Comfortable with physical labor, confined spaces, and manual work Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Experienced Candidates:
Prior experience with fiber blowing/jetting equipment, OSP construction, or telecom cable installation strongly preferred Familiarity with duct/microduct systems and fiber handling best practices Basic fiber splicing or OTDR testing experience a plus
OSHA 10/30
certification a plus
All Candidates:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift/carry equipment and materials as needed Team-oriented with strong communication skills Must have a valid driver's license/Reliable transportation Background check is required Be able to pass a drug test
