This role supports mitigation, remediation, cleaning, demolition, drying, and restoration activities while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. Field Technicians play a critical role in helping customers recover from property damage and restoring affected environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Restoration & Mitigation Services Respond to residential and commercial restoration projects as assigned Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleaning, and remediation activities Set up, monitor, and remove drying and restoration equipment Conduct moisture inspections and collect field measurements as directed Follow approved work scopes, project plans, and company procedures Assist with containment setup and remediation of affected materials Remove damaged building materials and prepare areas for reconstruction when required Load, unload, transport, and maintain restoration equipment and materials Documentation & Reporting Review work assignments, site notes, and project instructions prior to arrival Document job progress through photos, notes, moisture readings, and field reports Update project status and activities using company systems and mobile applications Submit daily timesheets, material usage, and required documentation accurately and on time Report scope changes, customer concerns, safety issues, or additional damage to supervisors promptly Customer Service Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company Communicate clearly with customers regarding project activities and site expectations Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when working with property owners experiencing loss or damage Help maintain positive customer relationships throughout the restoration process Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Safely operate restoration equipment, hand tools, and company vehicles when authorized Identify and report safety hazards immediately Comply with all environmental, health, and regulatory requirements Equipment & Inventory Management Inspect equipment before and after use Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of assigned equipment and tools Track equipment deployment and return according to company procedures Assist with warehouse organization, vehicle stocking, and inventory management as needed Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, moisture, and confined spaces Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Experience in water, mold, fire, or restoration services Experience in construction, demolition, cleaning, remediation, or related field work Industry certifications related to restoration, mitigation, or remediation Experience operating restoration and drying equipment Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on ladders for extended periods Ability to wear required PPE including respirators and protective clothing Ability to work in active construction, restoration, and remediation environments Benefits We value our team members and offer a competitive benefits package, which may include: Competitive compensation Overtime opportunities On-call compensation (where applicable) Medical and dental insurance Paid time off and company holidays Retirement savings plan Company-provided uniforms and personal protective equipment Ongoing training and professional development Certification and continuing education support Career advancement opportunities within the organization Benefits may vary based on employment status and company policy.
