Job Description

Overview:
Waikato Enterprises is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy and capable of completing installations on both the software and hardware sides.
Requirements:
Minimum 1- 3 years of experience in a Commercial Construction environment. Low-voltage systems experience is preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Ability to travel out of state, and work evenings and weekends as needed Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various PC or web-based applications to complete installations Reliable transportation and basic hand tools are required Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is preferred. Network tools and electrical testing equipment experience is helpful Ability to lift over 50lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces •E-Verify used to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, such as video surveillance, access control, commercial AV and network wiring Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to identify and resolve any issues Work alongside and collaborate with other technicians and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Working courteously and professionally with all clients, fellow employees, subcontractors, other trades, and vendors Ability to guide clients and answer questions on the usage of the newly installed systems and applications

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
