  • Full-time, Contract About VBtronics VBtronics is a security and low-voltage company based in Rolling Meadows, IL.
We work with businesses, schools, and municipalities to install structured cabling, security camera systems, access control, and alarm systems. Our clients depend on us to show up, do clean work, and get it done right the first time. Responsibilities Pull and run Cat5e/Cat6 cable through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable trays on commercial job sites Terminate cables into wall jacks and patch panels Test every cable run with a cable tester and fix any faults Label and organize cables neatly in network racks and server rooms Install cable trays, raceways, and conduit as needed Assist with fiber optic cable pulls when required Work on ladders and scissor lifts for ceiling and overhead work Take photos and fill out job sheets when work is complete Follow all safety rules and client site requirements Skills 2 to 3 years of hands-on structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience Knows how to pull cable, terminate jacks and patch panels, and test cable runs — this is the number one skill Must have a PERC Card or be able to get one Must have your own basic tools — hammer drill, crimping tool, punch down tool, cable tester Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Lives within 35 miles of Rolling Meadows, IL Able to travel to job sites across Illinois when needed What You Get $20
