Indiana & Midwest Region Position Summary Hiring Company is looking for a true Lead Access Control & Security Systems Technician who can take complete ownership of commercial security installations from start to finish. This person must be technically strong, decisive, self-sufficient, and able to keep a project moving when field conditions do not match the plan. This is not simply an experienced technician position. This is a true field leadership role. We are looking for someone who knows access control inside and out, understands intrusion alarm and video, works hard, thinks quickly, and can be trusted to make good field decisions without constant direction. The ideal Lead does not freeze when something is missing, different, difficult, or imperfect. They assess the situation, communicate what matters, find the best path forward, and execute. The right person can walk onto a project, review the scope and drawings, compare them to actual field conditions, identify gaps, develop a workable solution, direct the crew, communicate with the Project Manager, and get the system operational. They understand that real-world installations are not always perfect and are comfortable solving problems responsibly in the field. Access control will be the primary focus of this position, but the technician must also have strong experience with intrusion alarm, video surveillance, networking, and integrated commercial security systems. What You Will Be Responsible ForAccess Control You must have strong hands-on knowledge of commercial access control systems. You should be able to independently:

• Install and program access control panels and controllers
• Install and troubleshoot card readers
• Install and troubleshoot request-to-exit devices
• Work with door position switches and other monitored inputs
• Install and troubleshoot electric strikes, magnetic locks, electrified hardware, and related locking devices
• Understand normally open and normally closed circuits
• Understand relay logic and dry contacts
• Work with power supplies and backup batteries
• Troubleshoot voltage, continuity, wiring, communication, and device problems
• Understand fail-safe versus fail-secure applications
• Interface access control with automatic operators, intercoms, elevators, gates, and other systems
• Program doors, schedules, access groups, cardholders, credentials, and system permissions
• Commission and test complete systems
• Diagnose existing systems rather than simply replacing components
