Job Title Low Voltage Technician - Commercial Construction (Temporary) Job Summary Bluegrass Data Communications, a veteran-owned commercial low-voltage contractor based in Central Kentucky, is seeking 1-2 dependable Low Voltage Technicians or experienced Cable Installers for an immediate-start federal construction project at Fort Knox, Kentucky. This is a temporary, prevailing-wage position expected to last approximately 4-6 weeks, working approximately 40 hours per week. The immediate project involves pulling and routing low-voltage cabling only. No terminations, testing, programming, or device installations are required. Additional opportunities may be available on future commercial construction projects throughout Kentucky. Responsibilities Pull and route low-voltage cabling, including data, communications, and fire alarm cable, as directed by project requirements. Install cabling through existing conduit, cable trays, and approved pathways. Follow construction drawings and installation specifications. Maintain organized cable routing and proper cable support. Coordinate with other trades and on-site supervisors. Follow all site safety requirements and military installation procedures. Accurately document daily hours and completed work. Requirements Previous commercial construction or low-voltage cabling experience preferred. Experience pulling cable through conduit and cable trays. Ability to use basic hand tools safely. Reliable transportation to Fort Knox, Kentucky. Ability to obtain authorization to access Fort Knox. Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week. Availability to start immediately. Dependable attendance and communication.

Compensation & Schedule Pay:

$55.84 per hour gross, including required cash fringe benefits, based on the electrician classification in the supplied federal Davis-Bacon wage determination. Actual compensation will comply with the governing wage determination and applicable classification.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.

Duration:

Approximately 4-6 weeks. Hours and duration depend on project needs and are not guaranteed.
