Will work onsite in Rayville, LA Datacenter Cable Technician (Entry Level Friendly) Who This Role is Great For

- Candidates who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a long-term career in data centers or low-voltage Position Summary The Cable Technician supports the installation of fiber and copper cabling within a data center environment.
- Assist with pulling fiber and copper (Cat5/Cat6) cables throughout the data center
- Help route cables through ceilings, walls, and overhead pathways
- Support lead technicians with basic cable installation tasks
- Learn how to properly measure, cut, and stage cable for installs Cable Organization & Preparation
- Help organize, bundle, and dress cables for clean and efficient installs
- Assist with labeling and tracking cables
- Learn basic termination and punch-down techniques over time
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to support build quality General Labor & Site Support
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment across the job site
- Work on ladders and lifts to support overhead cabling
- Assist team leads and experienced techs with daily project tasks Safety & Quality
- Follow all job site safety requirements and PPE standards
- Take direction from leads and follow step-by-step instructions
- Learn and apply data center installation best practices Required Qualifications (Flexible / Entry-Level)
- 0-2 years of experience in construction, warehouse, landscaping, moving, or other hands-on roles
- Comfortable working with basic hand tools
- Ability to work on your feet and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Willingness to learn a new trade and follow instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights (ladders/lifts) Preferred (Nice-to-Have, Not Required)
- Any exposure to cabling, electrical, or low-voltage work
- Experience using tools or working on job sites
- Basic understanding of construction drawings or layouts
- OSHA 10 or similar safety training #cblx

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rayville, LA.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
