The technician will be responsible for installing structured cabling systems, terminating and testing network connections, reading construction drawings, and supporting the buildout of critical infrastructure within a fast-paced construction environment.
Local candidates and technicians willing to travel full-time for the duration of the project are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities Install shielded Cat6 structured cabling systems Pull, route, dress, and secure network and fiber optic cabling Terminate shielded Cat6 jacks and RJ45 connectors Install, label, and terminate rack-mounted patch panels Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard testing equipment Install and terminate fiber optic cabling Read and interpret construction drawings and installation plans Maintain cable management standards and proper labeling practices Document completed work and testing results Follow all site safety requirements and construction protocols Support project deadlines and production goals Work overtime as required based on project needs Required Qualifications Experience installing structured cabling in commercial, industrial, or data center environments Experience terminating shielded Cat6 cable, jacks, and RJ45 connectors Experience installing and terminating patch panels and network racks Experience testing and troubleshooting Cat6 cabling Fiber optic installation and termination experience Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Ability to work safely within an active construction environment Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Data center experience Experience using Fluke Versiv or similar cable certification equipment Experience with fiber testing and troubleshooting OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical projects Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Ability to lift and move materials and tools as required Ability to work in active construction environments, including elevated platforms and equipment areas Ability to wear required PPE and follow site-specific safety guidelines Why Join Us?
