Position Summary We are seeking a Residential Low Voltage Technician to assist with the installation, service, and support of residential technology systems. This position is ideal for a technician who has a solid foundation in low-voltage installation and troubleshooting and can independently complete standard tasks while continuing to develop advanced technical skills. Responsibilities Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, speaker, and control wiring. Install TVs, speakers, cameras, equipment racks, and structured wiring components. Assist with the installation of home automation, audio/video, networking, and security systems. Perform cable testing, labeling, and documentation. Install and replace networking equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless access points. Complete device setup and basic system configuration following company standards. Troubleshoot common installation and service issues. Maintain clean and organized job sites. Communicate professionally with customers, builders, and team members. Accurately document work performed and report project status to project managers or lead technicians. Qualifications Required 1-3 years of low-voltage, AV, security, networking, or related installation experience. Understanding of structured cabling practices and termination standards. Basic knowledge of residential networking and Wi-Fi systems. Ability to read basic floor plans and wiring documentation. Experience using common installation tools and test equipment. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders and in unfinished construction environments. Preferred Experience installing residential audio/video systems. Familiarity with platforms such as Sonos, Control4, Lutron, Josh.ai, or similar systems. Basic understanding of smart home technologies. Industry certifications or technical training. Skills & Attributes Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Good problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks. Professional communication and customer service skills. Desire to learn and advance within the company. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
