As a key player in the telecommunications infrastructure field, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to cutting-edge broadband solutions that transform communities. If you thrive in outdoor environments, possess strong technical skills, and enjoy hands-on work, this position is perfect for you! This is a subcontractor position. You need to have your own vehicle, ladders, splicer, and tools to complete installations. Responsibilities Install fiber optic cables and telecommunications network cables in residential settings following industry standards and safety protocols Use ladders, hand tools, power tools, wire crimpers, wire strippers, and other mechanical tools to complete installations efficiently Perform fiber splicing and equipment testing to verify signal integrity and network performance Set up and troubleshoot ONTs and routers Conduct quality inspections of installed systems, ensuring proper cable management and adherence to project specifications Document all installation activities accurately and report progress or issues promptly to supervisors Requirements Proven experience in network installation, fiber splicing, or telecommunications infrastructure work Strong knowledge of ONT and router operations Hands-on experience with fiber and ethernet installation in residential environments Ability to use ladders safely and operate power tools such as drills, wire strippers, crimpers, and electrical testers Mechanical aptitude with experience running cable for internet and phone services Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients during installations Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; physical stamina for climbing ladders and lifting heavy equipment necessary Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems and mechanical knowledge related to telecommunications infrastructure Join us as a FTTH Installer Subcontractor (1099) to make a tangible impact by connecting homes with reliable high-speed internet.
