LOW VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN / HELPER
Overview Join our growing team as a Low Voltage Technician supporting commercial technology installations and remodel projects. This position offers hands-on experience with structured cabling, network infrastructure, wireless systems, fiber optics, and device installations in commercial environments. You will work alongside experienced technicians while developing valuable skills in the low voltage and telecommunications industry. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction, electrical, low voltage, or telecommunications experience looking to build a long-term career. Responsibilities Assist with installation of Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling systems Pull, route, label, and dress network cabling according to project specifications Assist with installation of wireless access points, cameras, network devices, speakers, and other low voltage equipment Support MDF and IDF buildouts, rack organization, and cable management Learn proper termination techniques for keystones, patch panels, and network devices Operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining quality workmanship Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and documenting completed installations Follow project drawings, installation standards, and safety requirements Work from ladders and scissor lifts when required Maintain a clean and organized work area while representing the company professionally Skills & Qualifications Prior low voltage, construction, electrical, telecommunications, or related experience preferred Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling is a plus Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in active construction environments Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to follow direction and learn new technical skills quickly Experience working overnight projects is a plus OSHA certification is a plus but not required Fiber optic experience is a plus but not required Schedule Overnight shifts Approximately 40 hours per week Long-term commercial project Compensation $17.00
