Please Note:
This position requires frequent travel, with up to 100% of work conducted out of town and state during a pay period. The primary work location will be inside of Montana traveling to job and service sites daily. There will be a fair amount of work conducted in Bozeman and the surrounding area, however, travel is considered to be overnight stays as needed, and may last up to five days on the weekdays as we do have large projects out of town.
The Right Tech:
This position is a field-based position. The right technician will be out in the field daily - pulling cable, installing equipment, and getting dirty in the day-to-day work. Lift and ladder work is required. There will be both indoor and outdoor work, using hand and power tools. The hours will be different from project to project.

This is not an office position. We employ a probationary work period to ensure that technical skills are up to par. Position:
Lead Technician Overview This role requires frequent travel , as projects are conducted entirely out of town and state. We seek an experienced professional in low-voltage installations and repairs. While expertise in alarms and access control is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position. The Lead Technician will primarily focus on installing surveillance camera systems but will also handle network data cabling, access point installations, and audio systems. As the Lead Technician, you will coordinate installations directly with the onsite contact (typically a store owner) to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to high-quality standards. This role demands excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the project manager to coordinate equipment delivery and travel logistics. Communicate effectively with customers and project managers to clarify project details. Design, plan, coordinate, and execute installations. Supervise assistant technicians and technicians in training on-site. Ensure 100% system functionality and exceed customer satisfaction expectations. Complete quality control deliverables and close out projects thoroughly. Experience & Skill Requirements Proficiency in basic IP networking. Expertise in surveillance camera installation. Strong skills in cable termination. Experience operating scissor lifts and working with structured cabling. Familiarity with alarm systems and access control (preferred but not required).
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$30.00-$40.00 per hour following the probationary period, plus project-related bonuses. Full-time role with an expected 40-hour workweek with possible overtime.
