Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cable Technician and become a vital part of delivering reliable telecommunications and networking solutions. In this energetic role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of cabling systems, including fiber optics, Ethernet, and low-voltage wiring. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for residential, commercial, and data center environments. Responsibilities Install, test, and repair various cabling systems such as Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and telecommunication wiring in diverse environments Conduct network installations including Ethernet setups, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance Use schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints to accurately execute wiring layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively Perform fiber splicing and low-voltage electrical work with precision to maintain high standards of quality and safety Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to diagnose faults and repair network hardware or cabling infrastructure Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical solutions clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during on-site visits Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, schematics updates, and service reports for accountability and future reference Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or cable technician working with telecommunication systems or network infrastructure Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet standards (Cat5/Cat6), and telephony systems such as Avaya or VoIP Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and equipment repair in data centers or similar environments Familiarity with schematics, NEC (National Electrical Code), Low Voltage wiring codes, and electrical safety standards Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices efficiently Knowledge of Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, network installation procedures, and telecommunication hardware Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel locally for field service assignments Join us in delivering innovative connectivity solutions!
