Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Data Cabling Technician to support structured cabling projects across multiple sites within the United States. This role requires frequent travel and hands-on experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage data cabling systems in commercial and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling Install security cameras and devices, as needed Perform cable pulls, pathway installation (J-hooks, conduit, cable tray), and equipment rack buildouts Install and support network infrastructure components such as patch panels, switches, and wall plates Test and certify cabling using industry-standard testing equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and floor plans Travel to job sites nationwide and work varying schedules as required by project demands Adhere to safety standards, company procedures, and customer site requirements Accurately document work completed and report project status to supervisors Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installations Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards (TIA/EIA) Experience with cable testing and certification tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the U.S. (up to 75-100%) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in ladders, lifts, and confined spaces Preferred Qualifications Experience working in industrial, warehouse, retail, or enterprise environments OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Fiber termination and splicing experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Per diem and travel expenses covered Overtime opportunities Paid time off and holidays Career advancement and certification opportunities Qualified candidates should submit a resume detailing relevant experience.
