Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Low Voltage Technician to oversee and execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems across various commercial and industrial sites. As a leader in the field you will deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to industry and Proline Technology standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will help drive our commitment to reliable, high-quality low voltage solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations. Responsibilities Be a member of a team of low voltage technicians on installation, repair, and maintenance projects involving CCTV, fiber splicing, network cabling, wireless networks, security systems and data systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and blueprints to ensure precise system setup and troubleshooting. Install and configure network equipment including Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6) Perform fiber optic splicing with precision to support high-speed data transmission requirements optional. Conduct onsite service visits to diagnose issues promptly, perform system upgrades, and ensure optimal system performance. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including system configurations, test results, and service reports. Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), telecommunication standards, safety protocols, and local regulations. Versed in Door Access Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or lead in low voltage systems installation and maintenance with a strong background in electrical or telecommunication fields. Extensive knowledge of CCTV systems, fiber splicing techniques, LAN/WAN networking (Ethernet, LAN) and Door Access. Skilled in reading schematics and technical drawings related to low voltage wiring and network infrastructure. Proficient with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, power tools for electrical work, ohmmeters for testing circuits, and other equipment repair tools. Strong understanding of computer hardware integration within telecommunication environments and data center operations. Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining excellent customer service skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Valid certifications in low voltage installation or related fields are preferred; familiarity with NEC standards is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety procedures and quality assurance.
