Overview
MHANAC LLC
is hiring motivated Residential Fiber/Coax Installation Technicians to perform internet, cable, and fiber installations at customers' homes in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Technicians will install, activate, test, troubleshoot, and repair residential fiber optic and coaxial services while providing professional customer service. This is a full-time, field-based position that requires driving between customer locations, working outdoors, using ladders, and handling installation tools and testing equipment. Training may be available for qualified candidates who have strong technical ability and are willing to learn. Responsibilities Install residential fiber optic and coaxial cable services. Install and replace cable drops from the utility connection point to the customer's home. Install and configure modems, routers, Wi-Fi equipment, cable boxes, and related customer equipment. Run, secure, terminate, and test fiber and coaxial cables. Troubleshoot internet, television, telephone, Wi-Fi, fiber, and coaxial signal issues. Use approved testing equipment to verify signal levels and service quality. Perform basic fiber connections and testing when required. Use ladders, hand tools, power tools, cable preparation tools, and telecommunications testing equipment safely. Complete straight-bury residential drops when assigned and permitted. Explain services and equipment to customers in a professional manner. Document completed work, equipment used, test results, and customer information accurately. Follow company, customer, OSHA, traffic, and job-site safety requirements. Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and vehicle in clean and safe working condition. Travel between assigned customer locations throughout the Cincinnati service area. Qualifications Previous fiber, coaxial, cable, satellite, low-voltage, electrical, construction, or telecommunications experience is preferred. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, cable preparation tools, and testing equipment. Basic knowledge of internet, Wi-Fi, routers, modems, Ethernet, and residential telecommunications equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and complete assigned jobs efficiently. Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions. Ability to climb and work from ladders safely. Ability to lift and carry tools, ladders, cable, and equipment. Valid driver's license required. Reliable transportation may be required depending on vehicle availability. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Tools and Equipment Candidates may be required to provide certain personal hand tools. Company-provided tools, testing equipment, vehicles, fuel cards, and other equipment will depend on the position and assignment.
