Installing Fiber and Coax for Buckeye, Omni, and Metro Net We are a 1099 Company Major holidays off Health Benefits Must be able to pass a back ground and a drug test We install internet and phone for Buckeye, Omni, and Metro Net customers. Fusion splicing is a plus but not required. We will train for the position. No experience is required. Plenty of work to keep techs busy. Pay is based off your speed. The more jobs you close the more you will make. Techs in this area of Ohio are making between $1300 and $2200 a week right now. Responsibilities Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables including T-Fiber and Metro Net systems using schematics and technical diagrams Perform fiber splicing with precision using specialized tools such as fusion splicers and ohmmeters to ensure optimal signal quality Conduct network installation tasks involving Ethernet, Cat5, Cat6 cabling, and telecommunication equipment in various settings including data centers and customer premises Use hand tools and power tools to run cabling, mount equipment racks, and secure infrastructure components safely and efficiently Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and network layouts to accurately execute installation procedures Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including test results, network configurations, and service reports Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction during site visits Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or in telecommunications installation with knowledge of fiber splicing, network setup, and troubleshooting Familiarity with CCTV systems, VoIP telephony (including Avaya), Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Ethernet networking, LAN/WAN configurations Strong electrical background with experience in low voltage wiring, NEC standards compliance, electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately Proficiency with computer hardware setup and basic IT troubleshooting in data center environments or similar settings Skilled in the use of hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills; power tools for cable management and equipment installation Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and communication Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Join us to build reliable fiber networks that connect communities!
