Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Structured Cabling Installer/Fiber Technician and become a vital part of deploying cutting-edge network infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems, including fiber optic and copper cabling, to ensure reliable connectivity for a variety of clients. Your expertise will help organizations optimize their communication networks, and telecommunication systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your technical skills and expand your industry knowledge. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including fiber optic, Cat5, Cat6, and other low voltage wiring in commercial and industrial environments. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation plans. Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal integrity and minimal loss. Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to complete installations and troubleshoot issues effectively. Maintain compliance with electrical codes such as NEC standards while ensuring safety during all phases of installation. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about project progress and addressing any technical concerns promptly. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in structured cabling, fiber splicing, or telecommunications infrastructure. Familiarity with CCTV systems, , LAN/WAN networks, and telephony systems Strong understanding of schematics, electrical wiring practices, and telecommunication standards such as NEC regulations. Hands-on experience working with low voltage wiring including Cat5/Cat6 cabling in various settings. Knowledge of network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP solutions is helpful. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Prior experience in electrical work or IT infrastructure projects is a plus; familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance is beneficial. Pay:
$27.00 - $35.59 per hour
