In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access control systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance, and related security infrastructure. In commercial/Utility environments. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of facilities through effective system design, installation, and service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to a secure environment for clients and organizations alike. Responsibilities Install, configure, and service access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and other security hardware using hand tools and power tools. Conduct system testing and troubleshooting of security systems including low voltage wiring, cabling, and network connections. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair complex security infrastructure. Perform field service tasks such as system upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance on security hardware across multiple sites. Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, inspections, and system configurations for compliance and future reference.

Requirements Proven experience as a service technician specializing in security systems such as CCTV, access control, or surveillance equipment. Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to security systems integration and remote access solutions. Mechanical aptitude with experience handling hand tools, power tools, and electrical wiring in construction or field service environments. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, low voltage wiring standards (NEC), and electrical codes related to security installations. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams including schematics for surveillance systems and alarm wiring. Electrical experience with cabling techniques for low voltage systems including sensors, locks, alarms, and telecommunication lines. Knowledge of security system components such as sensors (motion detectors), locks (electronic or mechanical), NEC standards for electrical safety, and surveillance hardware. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues efficiently on-site or remotely. Effective communication skills for working directly with clients during installation or maintenance visits. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between multiple job sites as needed. With over-night stays from monday-Thursday in Illinois and Missouri.
