What You'll Do As a Traveling Technician, you'll support low‑voltage installation and infrastructure work across multiple U.S. sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
Using basic hand tools and power tools to support cabling installation Working on ladders, lifts, and in physically active environments Assisting with installation of Cat6/Cat6A cabling, fiber, pathways, and hardware Supporting layout, routing, labeling, and documentation Reading or learning to read basic construction drawings and cable routing diagrams Traveling 90-100% of the time to project sites nationwide (all travel costs covered) Maintaining professionalism, safety, and communication while working with onsite teams This role is perfect for someone who wants to build a technical career while gaining experience in large‑scale data environments. What You Bring Required Qualifications Experience using basic hand tools and power tools (drills, snips, tape measures, etc.) Strong interest in the low‑voltage trade and willingness to learn Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in physically active environments Ability to travel 90-100% Valid driver's license and clean driving record Real ID or Passport (required for travel) Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications Exposure to low voltage, structured cabling, telecom, or electrical work Familiarity with Cat6/Cat6A cabling, fiber optics, or patching Experience reading basic construction drawings or cable routing diagrams Prior work in data centers, warehouses, construction, or technical environments Training is provided — if you bring the work ethic, they'll teach you the trade. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
