ASAP Position Overview Tek One Solutions is seeking experienced Security & Access Control Technicians for long-term commercial projects throughout the Charleston, South Carolina area. This opportunity is intended for technicians with legitimate hands-on experience in access control, structured cabling, fiber, and IT infrastructure . We are not looking for cable pullers alone. Candidates should be capable of performing complete installations involving access control hardware, copper and fiber cabling, equipment racks, and telecommunications spaces. Technicians will report to a central Charleston-area location each morning before traveling to assigned project sites. Responsibilities Install commercial access control and electronic security systems Install and service: Electric door strikes Magnetic locks Card readers and related access control devices Pull, route, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling Pull, terminate, and support fiber optic cabling Build out and organize MDF/IDF and IT closets Perform rack-and-stack installation of network and low-voltage equipment Dress, label, and organize cabling professionally Read and follow project drawings, cable schedules, and installation requirements Install access control equipment on interior and exterior doors Run copper or fiber cabling between buildings when project scope requires Troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues Maintain clean, organized, and professional workmanship Qualifications Previous commercial access control installation experience required Strong experience with electric strikes and magnetic locks Hands-on Cat6 pulling, termination, and testing experience Fiber optic cabling experience Experience building out racks and telecommunications closets Comfortable working independently on assigned installation tasks Ability to troubleshoot low-voltage and security infrastructure Ability to work both indoors and outdoors when required Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to report to the Charleston-area staging location each morning Work Environment Approximately 90% or more of the work will be performed indoors . Certain projects may require technicians to: Run cabling or fiber between buildings Work on exterior portions of commercial facilities Install access control devices on exterior doors Required PPE Technicians must provide: Hard hat High-visibility reflective safety vest Steel-toe or composite-toe work boots Standard low-voltage hand tools appropriate for the work Interview Process Qualified candidates will complete: Resume and experience review In-person interview Project onboarding and deployment This is a strong opportunity for an experienced security and access control technician looking for steady, long-term work throughout the Charleston market. #TOS
