Low Voltage Technician

We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Cable Technicians with a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling systems, including structured cabling, fiber optics, security systems, and AV installations.

Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial, etc.). Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Rack and stack work, installation of assorted patch panels with cable dressing Work locations include retailers, offices, and Data Centers Ensure compliance with Wyoming state codes and industry standards. Work with team members and project managers to complete installations efficiently. Perform site surveys and inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance. Maintain and organize tools, materials, and job site cleanliness.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of commercial low voltage experience. Strong knowledge of NEC codes, BICSI standards, and industry best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in using cable testers, fusion splicers, OTDRs, and other diagnostic tools. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, work on ladders, and perform tasks in various environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
