Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking Cable Technicians for a long term opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables. The ideal candidate will under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem solving mindset while working as a team player. Candidates will gain experience in running, testing, and terminating low voltage equipment for large data center projects.

Job Responsibilities :

Pulling and routing CAT5e or CAT6 cable in a new construction environment Pulling and installation of fiber optic cables Testing fiber optic cables with Fluke/Viavi tester Labeling fiber optic and copper cables Terminating data jacks Installing support structures (ladder rack, fiber tray, basket tray) Must be comfortable working from scissor/boom lifts The ideal candidate will possess the following : 2+ years' experience installing cables in a data center environment Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc. Must be open to working Monday-Saturday up to 60 hours per week Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
