Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Data Cable Technician and become a vital part of building and maintaining high-performance network infrastructure. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing data cabling systems that support vital communication networks across various environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for clients, empowering their operations with reliable data transmission. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, collaborative setting where your skills directly impact business success. Duties Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage wiring in commercial environments. Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure proper cable continuity and performance. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute network installation projects. Perform fiber splicing and connectorization to establish high-speed data links with precision and care. Troubleshoot network issues related to cabling, Ethernet connections and telecommunication setups. Assist technology side of company in installing security cameras and access control systems. Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, test results, and service reports for project records. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during installations or repairs and ensuring their needs are met efficiently. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in data cabling, network installation, or telecommunication systems is a plus. Hands-on knowledge of networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet standards and network hardware equipment is a plus. Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques and the use of testing tools like ohmmeters for verifying cable integrity is a plus. Experience working in medium to large-scale data cabling environments is a plus. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately for precise installations. Having the ability to obtain BICSI, Leviton and Panduit certifications. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, punch-down tools, power drills, and other equipment repair tools. Excellent customer service skills. Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour
