Entry-Level Fire Alarm /

Voice & Data Technician Location:

Austin, TX 78758

Pay Rate:

$18-$19/hr We are looking for an entry-level technician interested in building a career in Fire Alarm, Voice & Data, and Low-Voltage Systems.

Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling Pull and route CAT5e/CAT6, coax, and communication cables Assist with installation of fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, modules, horns, and strobes Assist with SLC, NAC, and power supply wiring Perform basic continuity, polarity, and cable testing Read blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams Assist with structured cabling, voice/data, and network installations Use hand tools, cable testers, multimeters, and other low-voltage equipment Follow safety procedures, installation standards, and project requirements

Qualifications:

Entry-level candidates welcome Willingness to learn and develop technical skills Basic understanding of electrical concepts and hand tools Reliable and detail-oriented Comfortable working on ladders and job sites Valid driver's license preferred Electrical, IT, networking, construction, or low-voltage experience is a plus
