On-the-job training Relaxed atmosphere Flexible working hours Company Vehicle Must be 21 or older We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our team and work closely with our customers to install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot complex communication systems. A successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of all existing telecommunications systems as well as an advanced understanding of the latest technical innovations in this field. This position is entry-level, but will provide a great foundation for the career development of the right person. Responsibilities Install and maintain coaxial cabling for telecommunication systems, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity. Utilize hand tools and electrical testing equipment, such as voltmeters and ohmmeters, to troubleshoot and repair network issues. Provide field service support, addressing customer inquiries and technical challenges promptly. Collaborate with team members to execute network installations and upgrades, adhering to safety and quality standards. Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of service activities. Qualifications Proficient in computer networking and telecommunication systems Experience as a service technician in the field Skilled in using hand tools for cabling and installation Knowledge of Ethernet and telephony systems Familiarity with fiber splicing and network installation Understanding of low voltage electrical systems and use of voltmeters and ohmmeters Mechanical knowledge and experience in telecommunications
