In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable services, ensuring our customers receive the best possible experience. As technology evolves, your ability to adapt and learn will be key in maintaining our position as an industry leader in cable and telecommunications. The Cable Technician will play a vital role in connecting our community with essential entertainment and communication services. You will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring installations are performed efficiently and professionally, reinforcing our commitment to exceptional service and reliability. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain cable systems including coaxial and fiber optic cables. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of service issues. Provide exceptional customer service during installations and service calls. Maintain accurate records of service calls and installations. Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Handle equipment and tools with care to ensure their longevity and effectiveness. Respond to customer inquiries and determine service needs promptly. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards. Manage inventory of materials and supplies needed for installations. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. Experience in telecommunications or a related field is advantageous. Strong understanding of cable installation and repair techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to relate with customers and colleagues. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions including confined spaces and heights. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
