Job Description

We will need about 8-12 A/V Technicians for immediate projects in McAllen, La Joya, Mission, and Rio Grande City. The tech needs to have familiarity with A/V projector solutions (Epson Brightlink for instance), and Interactive Flat Panel Solutions.
Core physical/install skills Wall/ceiling mounting:
anchoring into drywall, or cinderblock (toggle bolts, concrete anchors); comfortable working from ladder or lift at classroom ceiling height Basic carpentry/drilling: fishing cable through wall cavities Cable running: pulling HDMI/Cat6/USB cable from projector mount location to a wall faceplate, dressing/securing runs (J-hooks, velcro, cable management) — plug-and-play connections only, no termination Hand and power tools: drill/driver, stud finder, fish tape/rods, level, tape measure Projector-specific Physical mounting of Epson BrightLink unit to ceiling/wall mount bracket per manufacturer template (Epson mounts use a specific hole pattern/bracket assembly) Basic image alignment: keystone correction, focus, and geometry adjustment using the projector's on-screen menu Interactive pen/touch calibration for BrightLink's interactive features (walking through the on-screen calibration wizard) Source connectivity testing: confirming signal from wall plate to projector via HDMI, verifying image and audio pass-through Basic troubleshooting: no signal, no power, EDID handshake issues — enough to identify a bad cable run vs. a bad port Soft/logistics skills Ability to read a simple site rollout doc/floor plan to identify room and mount location Basic documentation: photo of completed install, model/serial capture for QA Punctuality/professionalism in an active school environment Background checked and drug tested
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
