Description:

Communications Technician I Kickstart Your Career in Telecommunications and Structured Cabling The Communications Technician I is an entry level role ideal for individuals looking to build a career in telecommunications, low voltage systems, and structured cabling. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience installing and supporting the infrastructure that keeps businesses connected. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will help install, route, support, label, and terminate low-voltage cabling systems in commercial environments while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and documentation. Responsibilities Install, route, support, label, and terminate low-voltage cable systems. Build and organize telecommunications closets. Install racks, patch panels, and related infrastructure. Perform fire stopping in accordance with project requirements. Support structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects. Follow all job site safety standards and company procedures. Accurately complete project documentation, labeling, and required paperwork. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1+ year of experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, or a related technical field. Ability to work safely in commercial construction environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffdale, UT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
