Low Voltage Technician
Location:
- Utah (Statewide Travel Required)
Duration:
- 6-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire About the Role We are seeking experienced
- Low Voltage Technicians
- to support large-scale commercial and industrial projects throughout Utah.
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with structured cabling systems
- Experience pulling, terminating, and testing
CAT5/CAT6
cable- Proficient with punch-down techniques and cable terminations
- Experience working in commercial and industrial environments Access Control Experience
- 2-3+ years of experience installing and servicing access control systems
- Experience with Salto systems preferred
- DC controls experience is highly desirable Audio-Visual Experience
- 2-3+ years of experience installing and supporting AV systems
- Experience with Crestron and Q-SYS platforms preferred Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate structured cabling systems (CAT5/CAT6)
- Install and configure access control systems
- Install security camera systems
- Support audio-visual system installations
- Perform troubleshooting and system testing
- Complete equipment setup and teardown as required
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Mentor and collaborate with less experienced technicians when needed Preferred Qualifications
- Wireless Access Point (WAP) installation experience
- Video surveillance experience
- Electronic security systems experience Required Tools Technicians are expected to provide the following tools:
- Punch-down tools (66, 110, Belden, and Krone)
- Phillips and flat-head screwdrivers (#1 and #2)
- 10-in-1 screwdriver
- 6" and 8" adjustable wrenches
- Channel-lock pliers
- 9" lineman pliers
- Side cutters (dikes)
- Needle-nose pliers
- Flashlight
- Snips
- Cable or utility knife
- Tape measure
- Torpedo level
- Tool pouch
- Tool bag or bucket
- Sheetrock saw
- Hammer Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Technicians must wear standard PPE while on site. Available upon request:
- Safety glasses
