About the role Kaimetrix is seeking a Cable and Wiring Specialist - Level II to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable infrastructure in a secure, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for ensuring proper installation and functionality of copper and fiber optic cabling systems while maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to industry standards. What you'll do Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables in accordance with industry standards Perform installation, modification, repair, and removal of cable infrastructure components Conduct end-to-end cable testing to verify proper functionality and performance Troubleshoot and repair cable infrastructure issues to restore service and maintain reliability Document and catalog all actions performed on cable systems to ensure accurate infrastructure records Read and interpret engineering diagrams for buildings and cable plant infrastructure Ensure cable installations and modifications align with technical requirements and standards
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in cable and wiring infrastructure or related technical field Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), military training, or equivalent experience
Certifications:
Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI)
Clearance:
Background investigation Tier 1 (T1) or ability to obtain and maintain
