- Contract Job Overview We are seeking experienced and motivated Low Voltage Security Technician Subs to join our installation team in SE Wisconsin.
This is a 1099 position not entry level. Must have verifiable experience, own tools, transportation, liability insurance, and pass background check. Flexible schedule based on projects and client demands. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems including but not limited to
ACCESS CONTROL, BURG
ALARM and CCTV across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of critical communication, security, and data networks. Responsibilities Install and support the implementation of video surveillance, access control, alarms, and related low-voltage systems with minimal supervision. Perform cable pulling, terminations, mounting, device installation, and equipment setup. Read and follow project drawings, scopes of work, and installation instructions. Maintain compliance with company standards, jobsite safety requirements, and applicable codes. Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate more complex issues appropriately. Coordinate effectively with the Foreman, Project Manager, and other team members to support project execution. Maintain accurate documentation related to time, materials, and completed work. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams. Demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar low voltage or telecommunications role. Strong knowledge of basic computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring, LAN configurations, POE switches and routers. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, NEC regulations, and safety procedures related to low voltage installations. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, test meters (Ohmmeters), and other relevant equipment safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver high-quality service in diverse environments. Relevant certifications or training are preferred but not required.
