Trailer Mechanic II Colville Transport - Fairbanks, AK Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Pay | Benefits + Profit Sharing Are you an experienced trailer mechanic ready for steady, year-round work in a professional shop environment? Colville Transport is hiring a Trailer Mechanic II in Fairbanks to support our growing fleet. If you have strong diagnostic skills, take pride in quality repairs, and want to work for a company that values safety and teamwork — we want to talk to you. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose and repair tank trailers, flatbeds, and heavy-duty trailer systems Perform DOT annual inspections and preventative maintenance Repair brake systems, air systems, suspensions, lighting, wheel seals, and structural components Complete aluminum and steel welding repairs Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues with minimal supervision Maintain accurate service documentation Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations. What You Bring 3-5 years of trailer and/or heavy-duty diesel repair experience Ability to perform intermediate to complex repairs with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Experience with air brake and suspension systems Welding experience (aluminum preferred) Valid Driver's License (CDL a plus) ASE certification or diesel technology training preferred Ability to perform physically demanding work What You Get Competitive pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Employer HSA contributions Profit sharing Stable, full-time work in Fairbanks At Colville, we live our values of Family, Safety, and Agility .
