Job Description

Gulfstream Logistic Services , located in Foley, AL; is seeking a full time Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, Flatbed Trailers and trailer mounted forklifts as well as industrial and agricultural equipment.
Duties:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, flatbed trailers, and truck mounted forklifts. Conduct and maintain preventive maintenance programs on the trucks, trailer and forklifts. Perform Annual Inspections on Class 8 trucks and flatbed trailers in accordance to DOT Regulations, complete all required documentation and file records as required. Diagnose and make necessary repairs on driveline components, brake systems, suspension systems, wheels, tires, electrical and hydraulic systems on trucks, trailers and forklifts. Generate work orders, recording all hours and parts used in the completion of work performed. Maintain a safe and clean work area and perform work in a safe, orderly manor.
Skills:
Experience with mounting and dis-mounting of tires as well as making repairs to tires. Knowledge of diesel engines. Experience with air brake components. Diagnose electrical system and make necessary repairs. Ability to make repairs to hydraulic components. Knowledge of A/C systems a big plus.
