Job Description

Mobile Diesel Technician (Regional Fleet Support) Martin Environmental Services, Inc. Setting the Standard in Service Position Overview Martin Environmental Services is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to support our growing fleet across multiple locations. This role combines roadside response, field repairs, and regional fleet support to ensure our trucks stay safe, compliant, and on the road. This is a high-impact role focused on uptime — not just turning wrenches. What You'll Do Respond to roadside breakdowns and route interruptions when needed Travel between locations to: Perform preventative maintenance Assist with repairs and fleet readiness Support inspections and uptime initiatives Diagnose and repair: Hydraulic systems (front load, rear load, roll-off) Electrical and wiring issues Brake and air systems Engine and drivetrain components Work closely with drivers and operations teams Determine field repair vs. shop repair strategy Maintain work orders and service records Manage inventory on your assigned service truck What Makes This Role Different Mix of roadside + planned fleet work (not just emergency calls) Consistent workload across multiple operations Direct impact on service delivery and route performance Independence and trust — you run your day Qualifications 5+ years heavy diesel repair experience Strong diagnostic ability in the field Experience with: Refuse trucks (preferred) Hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes Ability to work independently and make decisions Must have own tools Requirements Valid driver's license ( CDL preferred ) Ability to travel between regional locations Flexible schedule (some early mornings / weekends as needed) Strong communication and accountability Physical & Work Environment Outdoor work in all conditions Lifting, climbing, working around active routes Exposure to waste and recycling environments What We Offer Take-Home Company Service Truck (huge benefit — fully outfitted) Competitive pay based on experience Full Benefits Package , including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement / 401(k) options Paid time off Stable, year-round work Growth opportunities with a rapidly expanding fleet Our Standard Fix it right the first time Take ownership — no excuses Be where you're supposed to be Support the route and your team Respond quickly — service depends on it

Up to $37.00 per hour
